Tim is at the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane in the Bone Marrow Unit.
This is a set of 3 rooms which are isolated from the rest of the ward to prevent infection spreading. The room itself is quite large and includes a bathroom , microwave, TV and a bed for Gerri.
Each room has a patient like Tim who needs isolation. When transplant starts the only people allowed in his room are Philip & Gerri and the medical staff.
The other kids won't be allowed to see him for at least 6 weeks.
