We have so many memories of our 8 years with Tim. We feel we have been privileged to share our life with such a wonderful boy. He has always committed his life to his family and he never wanted anything for himself. We will miss him deeply forever. We will get over the pain of our tragic loss because of the memories we have of him.
We want to share our last few days we have with Tim and will update this page with the things we do.
Thursday 19th Dec ... Family spent all day with Tim. His IV lines which have been so necessary for delivery of all his drugs were detached and central line removed. He is now free. Went out for dinner to the Old Grand in Cleveland. It was Tim's first night out of hospital for 20 days.
Friday 20th Dec ... We packed up the room and couldn't believe how much had accumulated with gifts and cards. Tim and Gerri arrived with one suitcase and left with four suitcases and a trolley of other bits & pieces. Tim is now home with his family. Philip took him to a circus and then onto fish and chips at Southbank. It was good to spend about 4 hours just with Tim. Monopoly was played late into the night with Tim, Matt, Jess & Sarah with lots of fun & laughter.
Again we cannot believe the generosity of people. Our nanny Soraya bought all the kids a Xmas present. The Leukaemia foundation gave us a large Xmas hamper plus a range of sporting goods and books and games for the kids as Xmas presents. We each got a special stick pin leukaemia bear which we will wear on special occasions to remember Tim.
We took a few shots under the xmas tree of the family together.

Saturday 21 Dec... Rained overnight but nothing was going to dampen our spirits. We are spending the day at the Gold Coast for Tim to be the tour guide to Mum. We went to the Currubin bird sanctuary which was quiet and relaxing. Tim enjoyed seeing the kangaroos & joeys and took a few photos himself. We stopped at the hotel Tim went to in October to show Mum around (Gerri could not go on that holiday). Tim and Mum had a drink at the bar and then were allowed a look around the room he stayed in. He was especially excited and proud to be able to do this. Tim got a photo of some flames outside the hotel - something Dad had forgotten to do last time. This was typical Tim - everything has to be done properly and that photo will always have some special meaning.
