Tim and Andrew went on a Challenge camp on November 15 (Tim’s 8th birthday). It was 4 days at Sovereign Hill run by those fantastic people at Challenge (a cancer support organisation) and the Ballarat local emergency services.
The following are a few snaps of that weekend. Needless to say both boys had a ball. To be able to send a Grade 1 and a Prep child on a 4 day holiday knowing they will be looked after so well is a credit to the organising people and the camp leaders. How many 8 & 6 year olds have even slept at another house let alone being away for so long ? And what about the things they did— the helicopter rides , fire truck and police car rides, tour of Sovereign Hill, the night outdoor show and the special treats we did not even expect.
These are special people for special kids.
